In 2007 the Fellows led a delegation of 36 lawyers, judges, corporate counsel, legal educators, and their accompanying guests from across the United States on an educational exchange to India. The delegation met with Indian government officials, including the Chief Justice of the Indian Supreme Court and several associate justices, well-known Indian lawyers, and legal educators. The delegation was chaired by former Fellows Chair Richard Pena of Austin, Texas. Following the resounding success of this delegation, as well as that of the previous Fellows delegations to China and Russia, planning for the next exchange is currently underway.
Immediate Past Chair of the Fellows, Judge Ellen F. Rosenblum, will lead the fourth annual delegation of Fellows to South Africa. Mark your calendars for November 10-20, 2008. The Fellows will participate in a series of meetings, site visits, and cultural activities during their time in Johannesburg and Cape Town capped by an optional extension after the main program to Kruger Naional Park for some game viewing.
